Turmeric:
This is called the golden spice. It is proven that a chemical compound, Curcumin present in this spice helps in the prevention of cancer cells. In the olden days, these spice were used to reduce cold. These are also used for reducing the swellings and severity of pain caused due to arthritis. This spice acts as an anti-oxidant that helps in lowering cholesterol levels.
Cinnamon:
These are often used in brewing coffees and desserts which adds flavor. It is said to have the ability to reduce blood sugar level and contains anti oxidants that helps in lowering the level of blood cholesterol. For women, the use of this spice in daily routine diet will ensure less painful cycles.
Ginger:
It has an instant cure for motion sickness and nausea. It improves the digestive process and prevents stomach disorder. It regularizes the blood flow and thus helps in maintaining the blood pressure.
Tulsi:
Tulsi is also known by the name Basil. They are said to be a great de-stressor as it reduces the level of Serotonin. Try a cup of tea with basil leaves and ginger for relief from indigestion, headaches, and fever. Chewing of basil leaves could reduce symptoms of Bronchitis and Asthma.
Garlic:
Garlic lowers the chance of causing cancer. It helps in lowering bad cholesterol and controls blood pressure. It has an anti-viral property that helps in clearing your sinus. It helps in the digestion of iron and protein in our body. It has an antioxidant property that protects your body damage from free radicals.
Cumin:
Cumin powder in water with salt and lemon is probably the best way to cure diarrhea. It acts as a blood purifier and an excellent remedy for stomach cramps. It can also be added to most of the drinks especially during summer. Specifically, black cumin is used to reduce the impact of cancer and is also used as a beauty tip to improve skin glow. In the Quran, it is mentioned as "Black cumin can cure all the disease except death".
Mustard:
It is said to cure the growth of cancer cells and has anti-inflammatory property that helps in restoring normal sleeping patterns in women with symptoms of menopause. It also reduces the severity of asthma and lowers high blood pressure conditions.
Saffron:
It is a powerful anti-oxidant and anti-depressant that cures bladder, liver, and kidney disorders. Saffron in tea can provide relief from cold. It has antiseptic and inflammatory properties. Rubbing saffron on sore gums can provide relief.
Cardamom:
It is generally known as Elachi, effective in curing stomach cramps, stomach disorders like acidity. It improves the circulation of blood in the lunges. Adding cardamom and mint leaves to boiling water can provide relief for hiccups.
Mint:
Commonly known as Pudina, has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties. Mint oil when rubbed on the forehead soothes headaches. The mint paste when applied to pimples can cure acne.
